It’s Winter, Let’s Warm-Up With These Nut Laddoos Without Compromising Your Health

As quintessential Indian sweets, there may not be anything as amazing as traditional laddoos. But our nutty delight is here to give a close enough competition. Learn how you can prepare this amazing recipe at your home.

We are all guilty of gorging on laddoos whenever our sweet tooth needs to snack, especially after a hearty meal. These round, colourful, and sweet delights are the epitome of pure love. From family functions to festivals, no occasion can do without these balls of heaven.

However, there is only a limit to which we can satiate our tastebuds. If you are on a healthier path in life, you may not always get to fill your tummy with the goodness of your yellow balls. But what if we told you that there is a way around it?

Well, it may not be an exact carbon copy of your sugary laddoos, but it is definitely an option your appetite won’t despise.

Try out this recipe that happens to be a tasty and an energy-boosting alternative to your traditional homemade laddoos. If you are an expecting or lactating mother, this recipe is an absolute gem for you.

Ingredients –

  • Almonds
  • Cashews
  • Walnuts
  • Figs
  • Fresh seedless dates
  • Cardamom
  • Apricots

Instructions –

  1. Chop up the walnuts, cashews, and almonds, and dry roast them together till they appear lightly golden brown. Set them aside for some time.
  2. After they cool down, grind the nuts coarsely in a mixer one or two times. Remember, you don’t want to turn them into a fine powder.
  3. In this step, you will chop the apricots, figs, and seedless dates and churn them in the mixer. It is best to go with fresh dates as they are moist and helps bind the mixture well.
  4. Include the blended apricots, figs, and dates to the nuts mixture along with ground cardamom and mix thoroughly till the texture feels tacky and seamless.
  5. Make small balls out of the mixture and enjoy them every morning with some warm milk.
